Festival Info

Thursday – Sunday: 11 AM for VIP & Rockstar Ticketholders. 11:30 AM for General Admission Ticketholders.

Moshing and Crowd Surfing may take place. Be aware of your surroundings. These activities may become dangerous and are done so at your own risk. Blue Ridge Rock Festival is not responsible for any injuries that may result from participating in these actions.

The festival is all ages. Children 8 and under can enter for free with an adult. We recommend proper ear protection and sunscreen for the little ones!

There is no re-entry provided for those without a Camping Pass. If you have a Camping Pass, you may come and go from campgrounds to the concert site as often as you wish.

Yes, we have put additional measures in place to boost cell service for event attendees, however, we cannot guarantee cell coverage.

Yes, we have lockers available for rent in GA and VIP. You will have unlimited access to your locker during festival hours & can come and go from your locker as you please!

  • Locker dimensions are: 11” wide, 13 ½” high, and 18” deep
  • Each locker will have access to (1) mobile charging pack (w/cords) that you can use to charge any of your devices throughout the duration of your locker rental. Once the battery pack is out of battery, simply exchange it for a fresh one at the locker reservation table.
    • ** In order to use the mobile charging pack, a $10 deposit will be required upon pick up of the charging pack at the locker reservation table located inside of the Locker Tent. Once you return the mobile charging pack then you will receive the $10 deposit back.
  • After pre-purchasing your locker, you will receive an email and text message 12 hours prior to the event containing your locker location, locker #, and lock combination.

Water refill stations will be available on the festival grounds and near the camp stores to ensure you stay hydrated while rocking out! Empty plastic water bottles are allowed!

Blue Ridge Rock Festival is not responsible, or liable, for any lost or stolen items while on-site at the Festival, Festival’s Campgrounds or Parking Lots. We encourage you to leave your valuable items at home or locked in your vehicles. 

If you have lost or misplaced an item, please check with the information booth.

Tickets

All will-call and print at home passes will need to be redeemed at the box office for a festival wristband. Please bring a valid photo ID matching the name on the order to confirm your identity at pickup.

If you purchased your passes on or before 7/25, your passes will be sent via USPS and will arrive no later than 14 days prior to the festival. Payment Plans must be paid in full by 7/25 in order for your wristbands to be shipped. 

If you have an address that is outside of the United States, your passes will be available at will-call. 

The ONLY Verified Outlet to Purchase Tickets for the Festival is through our EXCLUSIVE 2023 Ticketing Partner, ETix. Any tickets purchased outside of America’s #1 independent ticketing outlet, Etix.com, may be deemed invalid.

  • When available, you may choose to pay in full or select a Payment Plan option. You must use your own valid debit or credit card to pay. Payments will be charged automatically. 

  • The Payment Plan option will split your total order into smaller payment amounts and will be charged automatically every 28 days until paid in full. 

  • Full payment of your Payment Plan is required before any items in your order will be delivered to you, including all tickets. Any items for which you are paying by Payment Plan will be held until final payment is successfully made. 

  • By establishing a Payment Plan, you agree to the Etix Terms of Service and Purchase Policy and agree to complete all payments due. Funds are non-refundable and failure to complete all payments will result in default status. In the event of default, the collected funds will not be returned, and you will not receive any items in your order, including tickets. 

  • Depending on your payment method, your financial institution may charge you interest or fees under your agreement with them. If you have any questions about those charges, contact your financial institution.

  • Please visit the Etix Payment Plan Overview and Agreement for additional information. 

Payments are charged to your debit or credit card automatically.

  • Failed payments are attempted up to three consecutive days. If the third payment is unsuccessful, customers will need to call Etix 1-800-514-3849 to make the payment manually. 
  • There are no payment plan extensions in place for those who miss payments. Tickets will be automatically canceled if customer defaults on payment plan.

While refunds/downgrades are not permitted, if you would like to enhance your experience with an upgrade, click here to fill out the Etix Customer Support Form and they will assist you as soon as possible.

NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES
All purchases are non-refundable and not able to be exchanged. Concert lineup and set times are subject to change.

RAIN OR SHINE
All events are considered RAIN or SHINE. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.

CANCELLED/POSTPONED EVENTS
In the unlikely event of a COVID-19 forced cancellation, all fans will have the opportunity to receive a full refund or transfer their tickets to the 2024 festival.

If the event is cancelled or postponed for any reason other than COVID-19, we will contact you to inform you of the refund or exchange procedures.

Approved Items & Prohibited Items

  • Illegal drugs/drug paraphernalia — No illegal substances of any kind. Prescriptions must match the name of the prescription holder’s legal ID card.
  • Weapons— any weapons of any kind, including firearms
  • Fireworks of any kind or size
  • Glass bottles or containers of any kind
  • Unlicensed Vending– Those caught doing so will be removed from the Property with all concession/vending materials confiscated.
  • Clear bags or small handbooks/fanny packs are allowed. See bag policy below for examples and sizes.
    • Empty hydration packs that are less than 5” deep are permitted. No “cargo-carrying” hydration packs.
    • All bags will be searched upon entering the venue.
  • Coolers in the concert arena
  • Outside food or beverage in the concert arena
  • Charcoal / Wood Fires
  • Open Flames
  • Motorized vehicles (golf carts, ATVs, etc.). Mobility scooters are allowed. Please visit the Info Booth if you need to charge your mobility scooter. 
  • Pets of any kind– with the exception of service animals.
  • Wagons in the concert arena
  • Hammocks in the concert arena
  • Drones of any size
  • Paper Lanterns (aka Peace Lanterns, Sky Lanterns, or other floating lanterns)
  • Professional Cameras (i.e. those with removable lenses) without appropriate credentials
  • Tents or shade structures in the concert arena— small umbrellas are allowed, but only behind or even with the Front of House/Sound Mixing Tent.
  • Furniture larger than a standard lawn chair in the concert arena. 
  • Blankets and low-back chairs are allowed, but only behind the “no chair zone”, which is behind the Front of House/Sound Mixing Tent. Chairs must be no greater than 12” off the ground.
  • Selfie sticks
  • Helium or other pressurized gas tanks– Small propane tanks allowed within campsites. See Outdoor Cooking Appliance Requirements for more details.
  • Generators– Except in RV camping. Small generators will be allowed in the RV campground area.
  • Public nudity is prohibited in the State of Virginia.
  • Bringing or Constructing an outdoor shower or restroom that is NOT provided by Blue Ridge Rock Festival.
  • Kiddie Pools
  • Mobile Totems and Flags policy: Must not exceed a height of 7’. Must be made of PVC. This policy applies to all events grounds, including the festival area, camping, and parking.
  • Offensive Items— BLUE RIDGE ROCK FESTIVAL reserves the right to prohibit the exhibition of any item that BLUE RIDGE ROCK FESTIVAL deems offensive.

*All vehicles will be searched upon entering campgrounds. Patrons are subject to search upon entering the Show Field. BLUE RIDGE ROCK FESTIVAL is not responsible for confiscated items. Prohibited items subject to change.

**BLUE RIDGE ROCK FESTIVAL reserves the right, at all times and in the sole and absolute discretion of Event Organizers, to either to deny any person entry into or to eject any person from the Festival Grounds venue and/or the event site for violation of any Festival Event Rules, including, but not limited to, seeking to bring,  into and/or possessing or using any prohibited items while on at the Festival Venue and/or Festival Campgrounds. All such Festival Event Rules may be updated or modified at any time, without notice.

One clear, sealed water bottle per person is allowed.

Empty plastic water bottles are also allowed and can be refilled at our free water stations!

You are allowed to have your medications (we want you to stay healthy!). Over the counter medications are allowed at Blue Ridge Rock Festival in reasonable personal quantities. If you are bringing prescription medication, please bring it in its original packaging and be sure to bring a valid photo ID that matches the name printed on your prescription.

If you need to refrigerate any medication (including insulin), please stop by the medical tent and someone will assist you.

There is a designated location for rideshare and passenger pick-up/drop-off at each parking lot.

There is a designated location for passenger pick-up/drop-off at each parking lot. 

You must purchase a shuttle pass and ride the shuttle bus to the venue. You can purchase a shuttle pass here

The shuttles start at 9am each day (Thursday-Sunday). 

The last shuttle bringing fans to the venue leaves from the parking lot at 11pm Thursday – Saturday and 10:30pm on Sunday.

RFID FAQ's

  1. REGISTER: Register your wristband and link your card to your wristband. Set up a private PIN for security purposes and you are all set!
  2. ORDER: Once inside the show grounds, order from any of our bars
  3. TAP: When it is time to pay, tap your wristbands, choose tip amount, enter your PIN and GO!

    1. If registering for the first time, enter your info on the first screen and follow the prompts
    2. If you already have an account, select that option and follow the prompts

No, this will work just like your debit or credit card.

Yes, you can still use your credit or debit card at any point of sale terminal. This is just an added convenience for those attendees who would like to participate.

Yes! It works in conjunction with your debit or credit card, so it carries all the same security features and protection. You will also set a PIN during the registration process, so no one else will be able to use your wristband without your PIN.

Don’t panic, that is why you have a PIN. Your PIN will guarantee no one else can use your account. If a wristband is lost or stolen at the event please go to the BOX OFFICE for assistance.

CASHLESS FAQ's

  • There will be no cash payment options at Blue Ridge Rock Festival. Credit/Debit card, RFID wristband, Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and Samsung Pay will all be accepted payment methods. Additionally, we will have Reverse ATM representatives at the Information Tent who can load cash funds onto your RFID wristband. There is NO fee associated with loading cash funds onto your wrisbtand.
  • You can register your wristband and link your credit card for RFID payments here. This will allow you to scan your festival wristband and enter a PIN to make payments. 
  • Cashless only payment options apply to purchases for merchandise, box office, bar tents, food vendors, campstore and select craft vendors.
  • There are many advantages to a digital payment system:
    • No cash or cash cards to get lost while hanging out at the Festival. 
    • Shorter wait times thanks to faster payment at bars, merchandise, camp stores, food vendors and craft vendors.
    • We prevent theft and fraud. If you lose your purse or wallet at a cash event, your money is either gone or you have to hope for an honest finder. That won’t happen at our festival!
  • Yes, we will have Reverse ATM representatives at the Information Tent who can load cash funds onto your RFID wristband. 
  • There is NO fee associated with loading cash funds onto your wristband. 
  • You can check your wristband balance at any time at the Information Tent.
  • You can visit the Reverse ATM located at the Information Tent at any time during the Festival and you load cash onto your RFID wristband as many times as you would like. 
  • There is NO fee associated with loading cash funds onto your wristband.
  • During the festival, you can visit the Reverse ATM located at the Information Tent and request a refund for unused funds. 
    • Your refund will be given in the form of cash. There is a $5 convenience fee. 
  • After the festival, please email info@blueridgerockfest.com with your full name, Etix/Lyte order number and the number on your wristband so a refund can be processed. 
    • You will be refunded via PayPal. There is a $5 convenience fee.

Yes, you can still use your credit or debit card at any point of sale terminal. 

We are closely monitoring the state of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the intel we have been provided by state officials, we are extremely optimistic that the 2023 festival will proceed as planned, and at full capacity without any restrictions. If the festival must be cancelled or postponed, ticket holders will have the option to roll over their tickets or request a full refund. The timeline for refunds will be sent via email, and posted on all official Blue Ridge Rock Festival social media pages.
